So here's my bike at last Cool. A 1988 Yamaha FJ 1200 which runs great and does not have any problems. I bought it 2 years ago with 10.000 miles on board which I think is great and from what the owner told me it had some past gearbox problems that were fixed. The power output is great and the thing pulls like no other bike, the 1200cc's really have a throaty sound that pleases the ear.
No pics just yet because I took a great big fall and broke and dented almost every panel on it

Great touring bike it's a favorite amongst large cc bikes from what I know Smile, I have to agree with the statement about the power output , my bike at 750 feels like it's going to take off, I won't even imagine 1200 cc's Shocked . Sorry to hear about the accident i hope you get your bike back on the road faster Frown

Great cc's on this bike too bad it's heavy but I bet it is pretty agile for it's weight. I'm sorry about your accident what happened?

Yes it's agile and the power delivery starts really low so I can enjoy a low rev ride I don't have to rev it up high like your 600 needs to Tongue. About the accident, it happened after I hit a patch of spilled oil near a car accident site, I lost the back wheel and wiped out, the bike came sideways then after tumbling a couple of times through a patch of grass came to rest by hitting a tree. Surprisingly only visual damage Shockedand a good scare was all I got from this accident

Scary accident, how much did the repairs cost and how much did you pay for the bike? I'm asking you this because I want to buy a touring bike and don't know where to look

Ouch, that hurt me Frown. I hope you get your bike fixed soon, that Yamaha has been my favorite "non cruiser" bike for a number of years now...
