Greetings everyone especially all those with the unusual desire to own a piece of obscure history that is unbelievably fun to ride and pretty darn simple to work on - usually. If you own a Zundapp ( or Zuendapp ) you can visit my site Zundapp Fool for lots of good - and free - information. And if you are looking for that particular part to make your steed run like a wild pony you might find that there also. I own many bikes, mostly Zundapps, and I try to get them running for riding. Sometimes it is a real challange to get something 45 years old ( usually older ) to run especially when it has been sitting in a garage or basement or barn for probably 25 of those years but a real thrill and a badge of accomplishment when you do hear that smooth humm of those cylinders and the bicycle chain transmission. And then you put the thing in gear and hear that most distinctive German KaKlunk! ( Achtung!). I used to own a Harley. A 1928 "J" but the German bikes wouldn't talk to it and bunched up on the other side of the garage away from it so eventually I had to sell it. It found a good home down Houston way though. Myself, I like the Zundapp twins and fours up through 1958 or so. I've heard of one 1958 and a 1960 KS601. The "60 model I've only heard about but never actually seen. 1958 was supposed to have been the last year of production for the KS601sp. I'm not the all knowing expert on the 601 but I manage to get by. I'd like to hear from other KS600 and KS601 owners ans well as the other K/KS owners out there. There's lots to talk about. Thanks for the time. Enjoyed it. j m
