Ladies and gentlemen, mark your calendars for the first annual http://www.gaovariancancer.org/ovocycle"]OvoCycle charity track day at http://www.carolinamotorsportspark.com"]Carolina Motorsports Park on Monday, September 29th.
Show up Sunday and we'll be having a party!
Monday brings a great track day at the newly-renovated CMP, including tire service provided by http://www.sportbiketracktime.com"]Sportbike Track Time. There are chances to win Michelin tires, Scorpion helmets, and other great prizes, too!
The track day benefits Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance and South Carolina Ovarian Cancer Foundation.
Check out the Web site at http://www.gaovariancancer.org/ovocycle
A few notes about ovarian cancer:
Ovarian Cancer is a serious and under-recognized threat to women's health:

Ovarian cancer, the deadliest of the gynecologic cancers, is the fifth leading cause of cancer death among U.S. Women.

Ovarian cancer occurs in 1 out of 57 women.

An estimated 14,000 American women will die from ovarian cancer each year.

Currently, about 50 percent of the women diagnosed with ovarian cancer die from it within five years. Among African American women only about 46 percent survive five years or more.

Three out of four cases are detected in late stage when five-year survival is about 25 percent.

A couple other notes: I'm on the Board of this charity, and hope to make this an annual event. Michelin has really stepped up for us this year, but I need to sell this thing out to make it happen.
