Do you ride your bike in the winter? Quote | Reply

Just got back from a trip to Nebarska from California and didn't see ANY motorcycles on the road. It was COLD but I thought I was going to see a few... not even on in about 2.5 days on the 80 E

How many people out there still ride in the winter?

As far as I know nobody rides during winter time here, bikes mostly apper at the beginning of spring, although I've seen some guys take some serious falls on wet mornings Crazy

No i don't ride during winter because I think it's rather dangerous and I’m not a fan of getting cold air blown into my face, even with a helmet Unimpressed

Oh why not, if you are careful even a winter ride can be enjoyed, too bad there aren't any other riders to join

I did ride a couple of times before but I still think it should not be done

I'm not really of fan of cold weather so I like to keep my bike well tucked up in my garage then.

I have a Honda CB750 Custom that I've had for 19 years and a Kawasaki Concours that I've had for 8 years and I have made it a point to ride each of them at least once a month, every month, as long as I've owned them. Living as I do in Denver that has sometimes made for some cold rides but I have never missed a month.

That may change soon. In the snowiest, coldest winter we've had in the 33 years I've lived here, we have not seen asphalt since Dec. 20. It is currently snowing--again! I have 11 days to get in some January rides or my string will be broken. The paper says it should warm up come mid-week, so there is hope.

As a 16 yrolds only form of transport its a must winter or summer, the only time its not used is when its off the road or high winds.

I commute on mine year around and as the temp changes, I change. I don't ride in the ice and snow, or when my visor frosts. Of the hundred and five folks at work, there are twelve of us that ride, and six of us that ride year around. The most dangerous time to ride for us is deer season....
