reverse polarity on older yamaha 200 Quote | Reply

Mad I just purchased a older yamaha 200 for my son. At first, the starter spun backwards. I was advised to ground the battery to the engine. It seemed to work. After a few days, the brand new battery was fried. I purchased another battery and now the starter spins backwards again no matter where I ground the battery. Any suggestions?

You probably sold the bike already but it might be that it needs a new alternator.

If not, please let us know what the solution was.

Good luck,

David
