honda sl350 spark problem Quote | Reply

hey im new to this site and i need help with my bike. Its a 1971 honda sl350k1. it has been sitting for a long time and i decided to get it running. well long story short i got spark, got the carbs clean and working somewhat good. The problem is it only runs on the left clyinder. When i check for spark on the right clyinder it has good hot spark, so im confused. I dont have a compression tester but holding my finger in the hole it feels like it has enough but i may be wrong. The carb is working due to the plug being black and wet. I checked the exhaust valves and they are within spec. Any input appreciated

I would say you have a carb problem. make sure you have set the carbs up like the book says to and that the floats are at the right height. you do not want to see any sediment in the bowls. if there is sediment in the bowls then check the petcock bowl to make sure it is not full of garbage. If you need any more help you can email me. vern401@yahoo.com
