86' GSXR750 HELP PLEASEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! Quote | Reply

I need help badly. I bought this 86 gixxer at the end of last summer, got it running after a few weeks of messing with it and found out something was wrong with it, after tearing it completely apart we found out that 4 and 5th gear had been completely torn (well actually broken in half)...anyway I knew it needed rebuilt. We took it to a "professional" June of this year after jerking my chain for 5 months he finally got it done (even though my dad and i were pretty much holding his hand the entire way--so we are positive nothing is wrong internally now). But now for the last month that ive had the bike back I've put the motor back in got new plug rebuilt the carbs, but the damn thing still willnot start. I know it is getting both spark and fuel...what else could it be I mean it ran last time... if its electrical does anyone know where to start? UGHHHHHHH

Someone, ANYONE, please help,
Thank you, -- Steve

If you have spark, check firing order. One coil fires 1&4; the other 2&3. If this is correct, swap the trigger wires of the coils. I'm not sure wich sparks what set. swap 1-4 to 2-3 respectively. Each coil should have a black/white and maybe white or black/yellow?
