I am working on a 1985 750 Shadow and when I put the outer shift rod into the trans., and put the 2 teeth in the middle of the 3 tooth inner shift rod, I dont have low gear. If I put the 2 teeth over the bottom tooth of the inner rod then everything works ok. This doesnt seem right, but works. Is this correct?
