kay... so i bought a used bike off an aquantance for 400 bucks. i rode it once but it had to have the choke always on otherwise it would stall. he told me it needed a warm up time but it always does it near as my experience so far. i tried to ride it again but it would stall as soon as i put it in gear. also, it would grind a bit when i tried to put it in first gear (yes, i was holding the clutch in). i know it was only four hundred bucks for the bike so i am prepared to put some work into it. i think it has a fuel mixture problem and maybe needs a clutch (i used to be a car mechanic) so i'd like to do some work so i don't get reamed by the shop. i was wondering if someone could point me in a direction where i can download a repair manual for free. i bought a 2000 suzuki katana 600 gsx. please help.

I don't know about a free repair manual but I know Clymer has an excellent manual with detailed pics and step by step instructions for cheap. Also, I would try cleaning the carbs before anything else.

Good luck!
