Hello...I just bought a 2001 Concours with 10,000 miles on it. It seems to idle rough at 1000 rpm...kind of fluctuates from 800 to 1100 rpm....just rough. Is this normal for a Concours? There is also like a whining sound as the bike accelerates...other than that it runs fine when it's actually moving along. And 1 final question....the bike did not come with an owners manual and I cannot locate the oil filter...I took both fairing skirts off and still cannot locate it...any help would be appreciated. Hello there,

I would take it for a mini tune up. It probably just needs to have the carbs idling tuned. I don't think it is going to be anything serious.

The air filter might be under the seat... but I would recommend buying a Claymer manual that is well worth it and shows you where everything goes.

The oil filter is under the bike to the right of the drain plug. It's inside, remove the bolt and the canister will drop out. Replacement filters can be bought at Advanced Auto for $7.00
