What is the top speed on these Concours? My 06 hits 120 and won't go any fasterUnimpressed Is it electronically limited? Also it doesn't seem to want to run over @ 9000 rpm when accelerating through the gears.

Thanks

I once had my 1999 up a little over 120 and it could have gone faster but it was starting to wallow and I was afraid to push it any further. That's about as close as I ever expect to come to finding out how fast it can go.

Blush Ok Mccolo, since my last post my dealer told me there are no electronic limiters on it. I have since taken out the inlet baffle in the air box and performed a bafflectomy on the bike. Since that operation I have had it up to 125 @ 8000 rpm. I am at 5200' elevation, so I suspect that is all she'll do at this altitude?
I had suspected that the jetting was too rich for my elevation, but it's really not that bad now, since the mods I made. Next I'll try a K&N filter & see what that does.

Thanks for sharing that

I own a 2009 Concours...just passed 7500 miles. I'm not sure what the actual HP is of a Concours...from what I've seen the HP rating it dependent upon where you find the info...same with torgue. I've seen the HP ratings at 139HP...and above. One thing for sure, the connie is no chugging V-twin, LOL. It should suffice to know you have more than enough HP to go easily 0-60 in the blink of an eye or 120mph in seconds when passing...and my personal fastest has been 130mph before I realized how fast I was going after giving my throttle a good twist while passing a truck. I've never rev'd my connie above 9K rpms (at least not knowingly). Can't imagine what a connie would do if you maxed the throttle...fly I suspect!

Update...since my last post replying here....I've now had the connie up to 135 on the speedo with plenty of throttle to spare. Also I've actually rev'd it up to over 9K rpm in a few gear when accelerating onto the local hiway. When I rev up to 8,000 in the first few gears on my '09 I am going well over 110 mph...
If your connie tops out at only 120mph something is wrong, or should I say different about your connie than my '09. I suspect the ram air on my bike is making a big difference as well as the other feature/specs of the newer connie...I'm no connie techie...this is just my guess.

According to the COG site 08 and 09 are limited by the ECM to 183 mph. The 2010 and up are set at 155 mph. I have had my 2011 up to 140 with more to spare. I will see if I can get it up to the limiter and report back.
