I'm new to the forum and looking at a 2011 concours. My brother has an 08 that he loves. I got a little seat time on his and what a great bike. Are there any problems with the 2008 - 2011 bike. I know about the up grades on the 2010s and up ,just wont to hear some dirt if there is any. My brother has 40k + miles on his trouble free. Is this the norm ? How are the rest of the bikes out there doing?

Well I did it. I bought a new 2011 Concours, this bike is great.Went on a 526 mile ride Friday to try it out. We had temps 100+,rain, high winds, deer jumping in front of us, twisty mountian roads and I still can't get the smile off my face. What a great ride, the bike did well and I am very happy with it.

Wink 6,400 miles and with no trouble the only thing I would change so far is the high beam indicator light is to bright at night. Fuel mileage with the ECO button is 52 mpg my high is 57. The power of this bike is stupid fast. The factory tires went away in 3,500 miles we will see how set #2 go. Anyone out there do the valves on there bike? That will be the next big hurdle.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to post anything like this. The bike is going in to the dealer for work. It's showing an FI code. For the past month it has been showing this code and fuel mpg's have dropped from 52 to 43. They think it maybe need wiring harness. The bike still runs great. But fuel consumption needs to be fixed. If anyone out there has had this problem let me know what the fix is. 8,400 miles and first problem.

Dealer said there is no problem, this was not a hard code. The fuel mileage drop could be from cooler winter temps, they said.I think they don't know what the problem is. Bike still runs great with no change that I can tell except for mpg's. I think the gas stations around here change there blend for winter to keep the smog down in the Phoenix area. That maybe the reason for the sudden drop in fuel mileage.

Recap on 2011 c 14, FI code, is the only thing that is a problem. With 16,000+ miles on the bike, I did the valve inspection, I had 3 intakes that needed adjustment. After valve inspection and throttle body sink fuel mileage is back to just over 50 mpg's.
